In order to present a comprehensive and detailed picture of the Local Public Sector, each LPS Country Profile is divided into four sub-profiles:
- The organizational/ governance structure of the public sector, which includes information on country background; organizational structure of the public sector; and governance structure.
- The functional profile of the public sector, reflecting the functional responsibilities of the different government levels or tiers in the country
- The fiscal profile of the local public sector, containing a profile of local public sector expenditures as well as local public sector revenues
- An institutional profile of the local public sector, which includes information on political institutions, administrative Institutions, and fiscal institutions at each subnational level.
